Workshop Mate is Australian browser-based workshop software with parts inventory, clock on/off, Xero and MYOB. GoFolio is built around online booking, the job card and getting paid. The two cost almost the same. Prices below were read from Workshop Mate’s pricing page on 6 October 2026.
Who each one is built for
Workshop Mate is an “online workshop management system” for mechanical workshops. Its features page lists job cards, quotes and invoices, a booking diary, parts with barcoding, service history, automatic reminders by letter, email and SMS, user levels, and prescribed-parts tracking with the NSW Form 2 built in. It is set up for a workshop with a parts shelf and staff clocking on and off jobs.
GoFolio suits a mobile mechanic or a small shop that wants customers to book online and wants the job, inspection photos and invoice on the phone. There’s an iPhone app, and the dashboard runs in any phone or computer browser.
What it costs for two real set-ups
Workshop Mate has one Standard plan at “$91 AUD + gst per month” with unlimited users and no lock-in. Integrations are extra (“charges apply per integration”), amounts not published. GoFolio is one plan at A$99.99 a month including GST.
