MechanicDesk is set up for a workshop that sells parts over the counter, keeps stock on the shelf and orders from suppliers. Its site lists stock control with barcode scanning, purchase orders, a point of sale, service and rego due scheduling, and multisite management.
GoFolio suits a mobile mechanic or a small shop whose bottleneck is the phone, the paperwork and getting paid. Customers book a day online, the job sits on one screen with photos and an inspection checklist, and the invoice goes out by text and email from the job.
